Sweet Tooth, you’re in for a treat….
Kobe Au has a pedigree in baking stretching back over 7 years, when he obtained his culinary degree in Los Angeles, California. Since then, he has trained under the master chef of the Peninsula Hotel and frequently travels to France to learn new techniques and procure new ingredients.
For HK$248, you’ll enjoy a 2-hour hands-on masterclass with Kobe, where you’ll learn the art of making two of our all-time-favourite confectionaries; chocolate macaroons with chocolate truffle filling, and Earl grey crème brulee, heavenly ‘burnt cream’ with an early grey infusion. Only premium ingredients are used including French ISGNY cream and butter, Valhorna chocolate, and Japanese premium almond powder. You’ll leave the class with new skills to surprise your dinner guests, as well as a box of 10 macaroons and three crème brulees to share, or keep to yourself!
Earl Grey Crème Brulee – a lusciously creamy desert consisting of a rich vanilla-flavoured custard base infused with early grey, topped with a contrasting layer of hard caramel.
Chocolate Macaroons – derived from the Italian word Maccarone, these chocolate meringue-like cookies are sandwiched around a filling of rich truffle filling.
