Live a Life of Health and Sustainability. The LOHAS way!
Established by a group of retired social workers and green living advocates, the LOHAS Organic Farm promotes organic food culture in Hong Kong through a series of farm tours, fun workshops, hands-on cultivation, and good old village-style cooking. Located in picturesque Cheung Lek Village in Sheung Shui, the farm offers stimulating day trips designed to showcase the advantages and techniques of organic farming, culminating in a sampling of the goods: a traditional village-style Big Bowl Feast. Called Poon Chai, the feast is a communal event, featuring specialty ingredients cooked in a giant wok or wooden basin. Sample up to 18 organic vegetables and traditional ingredients in this ultimate vegetarian Poon Chai! You’ll also learn how to make Roselle Jelly from the Hibiscus Plant, which tastes remarkably similar to cranberry.
