Japanese food never tasted so good.
Voted one of the Top 5 Tempura hotspots by Asia Tatler Dining, ANA Gura takes Japanese fine dining to the next level, tempting the palette with over 60 varieties of delicate tempura and a horde of freshly caught seafood delicacies. Overlooking lively D’Aguilar Street, the restaurant is a sleek, dark, modern affair featuring closely packed table, live seafood tanks and a mammoth 18-foot seafood bar. The restaurant boasts its own Sake Sommelier and cache of rare Japanese whiskies including 18-year Yamazaki and 17-year Hibiki.
For HK$299, tempura chef Eric, formerly of Inagiku fame, invites you to sample an extremely generous 8-course tasting menu of melt-in-your-mouth sashimi, tempura, sushi and teppanyaki delicacies. The dinner begins with a fresh salad, miso soup of seafood broth and giant clam, and thick slices of fatty toro, yellow tail, salmon and more. The house specialty is tempura - lovingly battered, delicately fried, and served with several kinds of salt. It hits all the right notes, and is accompanied by a gorgeous piece of cod, cooked in traditional teppanyaki style, and a platter of California and soft shell crab rolls. The meal is finished off with a spinach and tofu dish and your choice of udon or soba noodles, with more tempura.
Fans of chef Eric include Tony Leung and Donald Tsang. We recommend you mosey on down to see what all the fuss is about.

There’s a section to the side that can be closed off as a private room. The room can be divided into two separate sections or the sunken in tables can be made into one big table seating up to 20 people. Ana Gura serves top quality sushi with one of the chefs coming from the renowned Inagiku restaurant. They also have amazing tempura and snacks like edemame to go with delicious choices of sake. We expect this place to be packed due to it's great location. Particularly for lunch.
